The winter miserly with cold and precipitation has not favored the water recovery of the soils worsening the drought even in winter. Spring was also slow and May was the wettest month of the year.
From the end of the month the change of pace occurred towards summer, with temperatures above average and sunny days, conditions that have accelerated the vegetative growth leading to flowering in the first days of the month and the race in the vineyard by us producers.
There were also concerns about drought and high temperatures.
August then surprised us with less extreme temperatures, becoming the wettest month together with May, a condition that has certainly benefited the Cortese with the resumption of vegetation.
The seasonal difficulties did not, however, adversely affect the overall yields that were interesting.
